The Widukind town of Enger plans the comprehensive energy renovation and modernisation of the single gymnasium on the site of the Belke-Steinbeck/Besenkamp primary school at Humboldtstraße 20 in Enger. As part of the measure, both the hall area and the changing areas are to be dismantled down to the shell, in order to enable a complete structural and technical renewal. The focus of the modernisation is the energy upgrade of the window front in the hall section, the installation of a new hall floor and the installation of a modern ventilation system with heat recovery. A ceiling radiant heating system is planned for heating the hall. The lighting, ventilation and heating system are to be operated in the future by the use of renewable energies - including a heat pump and a photovoltaic system. With the completion of the renovation measures, it is intended to achieve at least the efficiency building level 70 for the first time and thus to ensure a high energy standard. Another central objective of the project is to create complete accessibility. To this end, it is planned to extend the gymnasium by a disabled-accessible changing room with WC and shower area in order to enable all user groups equal and independent access. The building is to be certified according to the certification programme "Quality Seal for Sustainable Building (QNG)" with the status "PLUS".
