Description

The municipality of Senden intends to construct a new canteen on the Senden school campus. In total, three schools of different types will be supplied by the planned canteen. The architecture firm Herrmann & Bosch from Stuttgart won a high-rise realisation competition with its design, which is characterised by a continuous timber construction method. A special feature here is the timber construction founded on screw piles, which forms the base of the building. The clear, easily readable design with its longitudinally directed room proportions on a continuous building grid, integrates itself single-storey with a recessed technical floor on the flat roof, into the park landscape of the Senden school campus. Inside, the visitor is received in a foyer and from here the longitudinally directed dining room opens to the south behind a glass facade with a projecting roof overhang. To the north, the large kitchen and further usable areas extend over a total length of approx. 56 m. The specialist planning services for the technical building equipment ELT, measurement and control technology are now to be awarded in a negotiated procedure with a selection contest. The award will be made in the following stages: Stage 1: Performance phases 1 to 3 Stage 2: Performance phase 4 Stage 3: Performance phases 5 to 9
