Spain – Operation of water supplies – Concesión del servicio de abastecimiento de agua potable y saneamiento en el término municipal de Peñíscola

The Peñíscola Town Council, through the following tender procedure, aims to ensure that its hydraulic infrastructure is in a position to contribute to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth of the municipality, without losing the opportunity for this change to positively impact citizens in environmental, social and economic aspects. The main objectives sought are the following:

• To have permanent attention in the municipality both at a technical level for the management of the service and for the users of this.

• To modernise the infrastructure.

• Transparent and responsible management with the administration.

• To raise awareness among users about the responsible use of the resources available to us.

• To be respectful of the environment and contribute to the saving of natural resources.

• To respect and promote the use of social policies.

The new urbanisation areas, works and facilities that the Town Council receives for their assignment to the service, will become part of the object of this contract, after modification of the contract in the terms established in Article 290 and in Title I Chapter I Section 3rd Subsection 4th of Law 9/2017, of 8 November, on Public Sector Contracts, which transposes into Spanish law the Directives of the European Parliament and of the Council 2014/23/EU and 2014/24/EU, of 26 February 2014 (hereinafter LCSP). In any case, only the municipal-owned facilities will be assigned to the concessionaire, in the terms established in this clause, for which, once the contract has been awarded, a detailed inventory of the facilities will be drawn up within a maximum period of three months, which will be made available to the concessionaire and which will be signed by the concessionaire and by the Town Council.
