The contract concerns the delivery, installation and maintenance of a compact, automated storage system at +4 Celsius for the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) in The Hague, Netherlands. The storage system is approximately the size of a refrigerator and will store at least 500 AutoLys tubes with DNA traces and at least 6,000 FluidX tubes with DNA extracts at a temperature of 4 °C. Following a warranty period of at least 1 year, there is a 10-year maintenance period, with the option to continue maintenance until the end of the technical lifespan of the storage system. Additionally, there is an option to purchase a second, identical storage system, including maintenance until the end of the technical lifespan. It is intended to conclude one contract with a contractor who will handle the delivery, installation, and maintenance, including for the optional second storage system. The contracting authority estimates a total contract value, including ALL options, of € 940,000.
