Germany – Tiling work – Kultur|Kloster|Kyritz Los N020 Fliesen- und Plattenarbeiten

The planned construction project involves the conversion of the cloister wing of the former monastery (existing building) into a museum. Simultaneously, a new building (event venue with connectors) is being constructed next to it. The construction site is located in Kyritz in the monument protection area "Altstadt Kyritz" and the archaeological monument "Altstadt Kyritz". As part of the renovation and preparation of the event venue, tile and slab work will be carried out in the sanitary areas and in selected special areas. The work includes the supply and laying of ceramic wall and floor coverings, including all necessary ancillary work, substrate preparations, as well as connection and sealing work. In the sanitary areas, wall and floor surfaces on existing screeds, reinforced concrete walls, and plasterboard substrates are to be provided with ceramic coverings. Approximately 40 m2 of wall coverings and approximately 45 m2 of floor coverings are to be installed. The work will be carried out including necessary priming, sealing in the splash water area, movement and connection joints, as well as permanently elastic grouting. In addition, historic Mettlach tiles will be laid professionally in the historic cloister wing. The work in this area is to be carried out with particular consideration of the monument protection requirements and with the preservation and careful integration of the historic building fabric.
