Germany – Communication land-line rental – Betrieb Gigabit-Netz der Breitband Ostalb KAöR – OAK Gebiet Ost

Based on existing infrastructure, the participating cities and municipalities plan to establish a subsidised Gigabit network using FTTB technology in the municipal areas as per the Annex Task Description. This newly created passive Gigabit network (FTTB) will be successively handed over to a private network operator as ready-to-use subnetworks for use and creation of the active network level and the provision of high-bitrate broadband connections for a fee.
