St. Joseph Hospital, Kalvarienberg 4, 54595 Prüm, is a supply-relevant hospital with 150 beds, which is included in the state hospital plan of Rhineland-Palatinate and has an institutional identification. The service spectrum of St. Joseph Hospital comprises 11 service groups: General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Hip Endoprosthetics, Knee Endoprosthetics, Revision Hip Endoprosthesis, Revision Knee Endoprosthesis, Spinal Surgery, Ophthalmology, Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine and non-complex Intensive Care. The inpatient offer is supplemented by the MVZ Prüm with outpatient services in Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine as well as primary care. The hospital is currently operated by St. Joseph Hospital GmbH Prüm, which belongs to Josefs-Gesellschaft gAG based in Cologne. St. Joseph Hospital GmbH is currently in self-administration insolvency proceedings. The Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm will in future assume responsibility for the continuation of the Prüm hospital site to ensure the maintenance of hospital operations. To this end, it will in future operate the hospital via a non-profit GmbH, which will assume the function of the hospital operator. The Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm intends to commission a qualified third party with the management and operation of the hospital as well as various services to ensure long-term and demand-oriented care of the population. The contractor sought in this procedure must provide tasks of general management as well as services in the areas of personnel and IT in four work packages for St. Joseph Hospital Prüm. Some of the services will continue to be provided on an interim basis by Josefs-Gesellschaft gAG. The contractor must successively take over these services from the award of the contract to ensure uninterrupted operation.
