Germany – Footpath construction work – Bau von Wegen und Wasserläufen im Talraum des Stadtgrabens in 78628 Rottweil

The large district town of Rottweil will host the State Garden Show in 2028. The focus will be on the hydrological enhancement of the Neckar loop and bringing the city closer to the Neckar through new paths. The construction site for the park section Paths and Watercourses in the Stadtgraben valley includes the creation of watercourses, which are fed by a northwest-facing slope spring in the valley, with 3 water basins and connecting watercourses arranged in the valley course, as well as the construction of an end basin at the distributor on the valley floor. Accompanying the watercourses, the central path connection in the valley will be realised via flanking asphalt paths on both sides (north and south) in the western area, on one side (south) in the eastern area, and adjoining square situations. Also included is the creation of the square situation at the new lift structure with flanking wall structures and adjoining staircase installations. Adjoining this square situation to the north, a predecessor contract will realise the path connection between the lift and the new garden show bridge, including the necessary slope stabilisation measures. The elongated area to be processed, with a development length of around 275 m and an area of around 4,500 m2, has a height difference of approx. 24 m. The terrain runs along the valley floor and can be accessed via the construction site access from the south coming from Bahnhofstraße. On the area and at the edges of the area there is an old, absolutely protected tree population. Crossing is the historic high bridge in the valley. The middle abutment of the high bridge will be worked on with the upcoming measures.
