The Merseburg University of Applied Sciences requires digital boards with the following specifications:

Hardware & Display

- Panel: 98" visible diagonal, 4K UHD (3840x2160), 16:9, IPS with direct LED backlighting, 50,000-hour lifespan.

- Optics & Surface: Brightness 450 cd/m², Contrast 1,200:1 (static) / 6,000:1 (dynamic), Viewing angle 178°. Tempered safety glass (Mohs 7) with antibacterial surface (incl. Power button).

- Performance & Audio: Power consumption <= 137 W, Weight <= 85 kg. 60 Hz refresh rate, 6.5 ms response time. Integrated brightness sensor and burn-in protection. Sound: Front speakers + subwoofer.

- Accessories: At least 2 passive, magnetic pens (without batteries/induction) included in delivery.

Connections & Connectivity (directly on the display, without adapter)

- Video/Audio: at least 2 x HDMI 2.1 In (1 x front), 1 x HDMI 2.0 Out, 1 x DisplayPort 1.2, 1 x VGA. Audio: 3.5 mm In/Out, SPDIF/Toslink Out.

- Data & Touch: 2 x USB-B 3.2 (Touch), 1 x USB-A 2.0, 4 x USB-A 3.2 (2 x front). 1 x OPS-Slot (80-Pin). NFC Reader/Writer.

- USB-C: at least 1 x front (>= 65 W PD, DP Alt Mode, Video, Audio, Touch, LAN) + 1 x side (>= 15 W, same functions).

- Security & Administration: APK installation via USB and on-screen control panels separately deactivatable. Inputs renamable/ hideable.

- On-Screen Toolbar & Tools: Freely positionable and adjustable toolbar under each input. Cross-platform picture-in-picture and annotation tool (direct writing with pen without pre-selection, export as screenshot). Integrated tools: Voting, Timer, Stopwatch, Zoom. Configurable 1-click cleaning tool to delete all user data/Cloud logins.

Touch Technology

- Specification: Infrared technology with at least 50 touchpoints or capacitive touchscreen. Resolution 32,768 x 32,768, response time <= 2.5 ms, accuracy +/-1 mm, tracking rate >= 1 m/s, scan rate >= 400 Hz. Minimum object size 2 mm.

- Features: Driver-free compatibility (Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, Chrome). Pen & touch differentiation, Windows Ink, Palm Erase (palm eraser) and Palm Rejection (palm rejection).

Wireless Image Transmission (without additional hardware/license costs)

- Protocols: Native support for Airplay, Miracast, Chromecast and Webcast (via standard browser) without app state on devices. Including unlimited number of devices.

- Functions: Transmission autonomously via integrated hotspot (without internet/external server) also network-wide possible. Incl. NFC-Cast and optional dongle support with camera/microphone integration.

Whiteboard Software (manufacturer-identical)

- Platform & License: Permanently free, offline usable cross-over platform (identical view/functions on Android, Windows, MacOS, iOS, Linux, Chrome) without user limitation. From the same manufacturer as the display.

- Tools: Infinite whiteboard, various page formats and pens. Simultaneous writing/erasing, 4 simultaneous function identities without switching. At least 20 working levels, form split, replicator (infinite copying), table tool and cutout function. At least 30 steps undo.

- Integrations: Complete integration/conversion of Office formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDFs (browse and annotate in original).

- Mathematical Tools: Real digital tools (ruler, compass, protractor - no mere images) with scale-accurate scaling when zooming and automatic angle/length display.

- AI Functions: Handwriting recognition (> 40 languages), text/shape/math recognition (with automatic calculation).

Digital Information Platform (Digital Signage)

- Full-fledged, license-free software from the same display manufacturer without additional hardware. Location-independent transmission (media, RSS feeds, websites) via browser to displays/display groups per drag-and-drop.

- Personalizable start screens for unlimited users, unlockable in one step via NFC, password or QR code. The login automatically logs the user into the whiteboard software with his cloud connection. Incl. calendar booking system.

All mentioned requirements are minimum requirements. Their compliance will be proven within the scope of a function test immediately after delivery and installation of the digital boards. Optionally, an extension of the warranty to 3 or 5 years is to be offered.
