In the Bielefeld-Brackwede Prison, roof surfaces and facades of the main building are dilapidated due to the age of the building. These are to be renewed. Similarly, numerous ventilation systems are installed in the prison that no longer meet energy standards and can be replaced as part of the planned roof and facade renovation. The prerequisite for the facade renovation is the relocation of the inmates due to partly noise-intensive work. Once the detention houses are vacated, the opportunity will be taken to retrofit the lighting in the property to LED.
