Description

Vattenfall AB BU Heat Sweden intends to procure port services - mainly for fuel to the combined heat and power plant in Nyköping. The services consist of receiving and unloading ships loaded with bulk fuel, intermediate storage, and transport of these to the Heat Plant in Nyköping. Sampling of the received goods and administrative tasks such as inventory and handling of transport documents are also included in the assignment. There will also be deliveries of fuel by lorry for intermediate storage in the port.

Tenders can be submitted for all services (unloading, transport & storage) - which is rewarded in the final evaluation - but it can also be divided into port services with/without storage and transport to the heat plant in Nyköping. Contract period of eight years with option to extend. The final evaluation takes into account the optimally best solution.

Procurement documents are sent to qualifying tenderers. The biofuel consists of wood pellets, recycled wood, chipped/ crushed virgin chips, bark or roundwood - depending on the availability of fuel. Typical load quantity/ship is 1 500 - 5 000 tonnes. The total annual volume can vary between 20 000 and 100 000 tonnes. The average is 60 000 - 70 000 tonnes but there is a planned increase of circa 30% as the district heating supply is planned to be extended to Oxelösund.

Transport of fuel from port and port storage to the plant or to intermediate storage takes place in coordination with ship deliveries, storage situation and the plant's consumption forecast. Ordering of material to the plant takes place in writing weekly for the coming week. After special agreement, delivery to other plants may be considered.
