Belgium – Company health services – Aanstelling van een externe dienst voor preventie en bescherming op het werk (EDPBW)

For 15 years, AZ Herentals and AZ Turnhout have collaborated to strengthen care in our region. We are taking a further step by merging into AZ Kempen as of 1/1/2027. Currently, AZ Turnhout and AZ Herentals work with 2 different external services for prevention and protection at work, however, we are legally obliged to transition to 1 external service for the merged hospital AZ Kempen. Number of employees: 3,100. AZ Turnhout: approximately 2,250. AZ Herentals: 850. Number of Prevention Units (PU): 2,500. AZ Turnhout: approximately 1,800. AZ Herentals: 700. Current content (non-exhaustive): - Medical examinations - Health surveillance - Psychosocial aspects - Workplace visits and screenings - Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPPW) - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Training - Occupational safety - Occupational hygiene/measurements - Ergonomics - Policy. This framework agreement aims to appoint an External Service for Prevention and Protection at Work (ESPW) in accordance with the legislation: • Law of 4 August 1996 concerning the well-being of workers in the performance of their work. • Code on Well-being at Work, in particular Book II, Title 3 'The external service for prevention and protection at work' and Book I, Title 4 'Measures relating to health surveillance of workers'. The Code on Well-being at Work can be found on the website of the Federal Public Service Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue. This procedure involves concluding a framework agreement with one partner for services with the aim of appointing an External Service for Prevention and Protection at Work, for the benefit of the merged hospital AZ KEMPEN. The framework agreement is valid for a period of 4 years, renewable twice for 2 years each, starting from 1 January 2026. The estimated maximum value of the framework agreement amounts to €5,125,000 (excl. VAT). This estimated maximum value is merely indicative and in no way binds the management. This value consequently does not indicate the tender amount with which one can register. The contractor cannot claim compensation if this turnover is not achieved.
