Germany – Low-floor buses – Lieferung von 47 Gelenk-Niederflur-Linienomnibussen mit und ohne Spurführungseinrichtung für den Betrieb mit HVO100-Diesel (DIN EN 15940) in zwei Losen für die Ruhrbahn GmbH

Ruhrbahn GmbH (hereinafter Ruhrbahn or Contracting Authority) was established in 2017 through the merger of two transport companies, Essener Verkehrs-AG (EVAG) and Mülheimer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH (MVG). Since then, it has provided an attractive, efficient, and environmentally friendly public transport service, thereby enhancing the quality of life in Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr. As the largest transport company in the Ruhr area, it ensures the mobility of 140 million passengers per year with approximately 2,500 employees. With three underground lines, eleven tram lines, 54 bus lines, and 22 NE lines, Ruhrbahn offers a customer-oriented, technically advanced, and climate-friendly public transport service. The subject of the procurement is a total of 47 articulated low-floor line buses with and without guideway equipment for operation with HVO100 diesel (DIN EN 15940). The award is made in two lots: Lot 1: 27 articulated low-floor line buses without guideway equipment and Lot 2: 20 articulated low-floor line buses with guideway equipment. The vehicles must necessarily have a manufacturer's XTL approval (X-to-Liquid) according to standard EN 15940. The delivery of the vehicles is to take place as follows: Lot 1: 13 articulated low-floor line buses by the end of 2027 at the latest, 14 articulated low-floor line buses in the I. Quarter 2028, by the end of II. Quarter 2028 at the latest. Lot 2: 20 articulated low-floor line buses with guideway equipment in the III. Quarter 2028, by the end of 2028 at the latest.
