Large parts of the track and ballast need to be renewed on the railway in Norway. The infrastructure is therefore planned to be renewed by running SPOT and purification works on parts of the railway stretches in the next few years. The project "SPOT-06 - SPOT and purification works 2027" includes works on the Gardermo Railway, Nedre Hovedbanen, Øvre Hovedbanen and Østfold railway, divided between four track interruptions.
