Section 130a, paragraph 8 of the SGB V enables health insurance funds and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount contracts for medicines to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory health insurance funds. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the awarding of public contracts, the DAK-Gesundheit regularly conducts substance-related, formal tendering procedures in accordance with the regulations of Part 4 of the GWB. For medicines to be specified by the bidder in more detail in Annex 2 to the contract for the aforementioned substance Vigabatrin (exclusively in the dosage form FTA), ATC N03AG04, the DAK-Gesundheit intends to conclude medicine discount contracts with as many interested pharmaceutical companies as possible until new medicine discount contracts come into force. A discount contract under the approval model for the aforementioned substance comes into force for the first time on 01.07.2026 and ends on 30.06.2028 (plus extension option 1x12 months). It ends automatically with the entry into force of the exclusive contract, regardless.
