I. Contract Information

1. General

The Deutsche Oper Berlin, with its 1,865 seats, is the largest opera house in Berlin and the second-largest opera stage in Germany. Since its opening in 1912, the institution has enjoyed an outstanding international reputation as a venue for the great operatic repertoire. Shaped by notable chief conductors, directors, and artists, the house stands for artistic excellence and a tradition-rich, globally recognized performance culture. With the start of the 2026/27 season and the directorship of Mr. Aviel Cahn, the Deutsche Oper Berlin is opening a new chapter in its history, characterized by innovation, international focus, and new energy. In this context, the catering operations of the house will be re-tendered for the summer of 2027.

Note: This tender procedure will be conducted in accordance with the conditions of the Concessions Awarding Ordinance (KonzVgV).

The contracting authorities / concession grantors for this procedure are 1) Stiftung Oper in Berlin represented by the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Richard-Wagner-Straße 10, 10585 Berlin and 2) Deutsche Oper Berlin Vermarktungs GmbH, Richard-Wagner-Straße 10, 10585 Berlin.
