Denmark – Drinking-water treatment plant construction work – Nyt Nr. Vinstrup Vandværk til Hjørring Vandselskab A/S

Hjørring Vandselskab wishes to future-proof the water supply for consumers in Hjørring. There is a need to establish a waterworks with a high production capacity, flexibility and the possibility of expansion to ensure drinking water for many years to come. The waterworks will replace the existing waterworks at Horne (Hirtshals Vandværk Vest), which today faces a major renovation and modernisation to bring it to a level that is both contemporary and can guarantee future supply security. The new waterworks will be located on the northern half of plot no. 6s Skibsby By, Skt. Olai, owned by Hjørring Vandselskab. A local plan for the area has been drawn up as part of the project. The current tender includes the design and execution of a new waterworks in a total enterprise, including buildings, water treatment plant, machinery installations, electrical and SRO installations, as well as related technical installations and piping work within the enterprise boundaries described in the tender material. The tender also includes the services and options outlined in the complete tender material. The waterworks will be built with 2 treatment lines and designed so that it can later be expanded to 4 treatment lines. The building and plant should also be designed with the possibility of future advanced water treatment. Under reference to the Utilities Directive, Article 65, it can be stated that the tendered task will not be divided into sub-contracts, as the contracting authority has assessed that, given the characteristics of the task, it is most appropriately solved by a single company. No remuneration is given for participation in the tender procedure.
