Germany – Engineering services – ST 26023 Ausschreibung von Planungsleistungen: „Umbau und Erweiterung der Michael-Ende-Schule, Aurinstraße 59-63, 41466 Neuss“ - Tragwerksplanung

The Rhein-Kreis Neuss intends to renovate and energetically upgrade, as well as to extend the Michael-Ende-Schule in Neuss. A feasibility study is available for this purpose. To take over the necessary architectural and engineering services, the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss is looking for suitable contractors. The required services will be tendered separately, divided into the following lots:

Lot 2: Structural Design

Lot 3: Technical Equipment Design

Lot 4: Landscape Design

The implementation of the measures will be accompanied by an external project controller. With this procedure, the services for Lot 2 are tendered: Lot 2: Structural Design

The Michael-Ende-Schule is a special needs school with a focus on language and currently serves as a learning centre for 195 students. The primary school consists of three sections, all of which are affected by the implementation of the measures: a new building that houses the open all-day school (OGS) and the canteen, an older school building with classrooms, and an administrative wing. Starting in the 2025/26 school year, there will be a legal entitlement to a place in full-day care for primary school children. For the year 2029, a student population of 212, distributed across 17 classes, is projected. The construction measure aims not only to provide sufficient classrooms but also to improve the currently spatially constrained situation of the school administration. For this purpose, the existing administrative building will be demolished and replaced by a new structure. The new building will adopt the existing structure of the walkway and expand it with adjoining rooms. The gross floor area is approximately 3,400 m². Starting in the 2026/27 school year, school operations will be relocated to another school building. The planning of the interim solution and the move will be handled by the client and is therefore not part of the contractor's scope of services. The entire measure must be completed by 30 September 2029. In the course of the execution of the construction services, the formation of various construction phases may be necessary. The planning and implementation of the measure must take into account the demanding funding requirements. To maintain eligibility for funding, detailed evidence must be provided. As part of the optimisation of the classrooms and the common areas, the existing building will be energetically renovated. It is intended to apply for funding under EnSanRR.
