For the municipality of Tengen, the provision of high-performance and future-proof broadband services to citizens and businesses is an important mandate in the sense of public services, economic development, and securing the location. Given the demand for high data rates and long transmission distances between networks, the expansion of fibre-optic technology plays a decisive role. For this reason, the municipality of Tengen has, in recent years, created a fibre-optic infrastructure to ensure a high-performance and future-proof supply in parts of the municipal area. This newly created passive Gigabit network (FTTB) is to be successively transferred to a private network operator as operational sub-networks for use and the creation of the active network level and the provision of high-bitrate broadband connections in return for payment.
