Bulgaria – Building services – „Изготвяне на инвестиционен проект във фаза: идеен проект за Многофункционален спортен комплекс – нова спортна зала и плувен басейн в поземлен имот с идентификатор 48489.13.539 по КККР на гр. Монтана, община Монтана, област Монтана“

The purpose of the activity is to create a modern, functional and sustainable sports infrastructure of regional importance, through the construction of a new Multipurpose Sports Complex, including a sports hall and a swimming pool, intended for the organisation of national and international competitions, as well as for mass sport, training and cultural events. The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of the sports, educational and social capacity of the Northwest region, which is currently characterised by an insufficient available sports base and outdated infrastructure. The commissioning of the new complex will enable the provision of conditions for systematic physical activity, the preparation of athletes, the hosting of tournaments and the integration of sports education at all levels. The project aims: to provide basic and competitive conditions for major Olympic sports – basketball, volleyball, handball, wrestling, boxing, gymnastics, weightlifting and others; to create an opportunity for the organisation of cultural, conference and public events, through flexible use of the playing field and stands; to provide an accessible, energy-efficient and sustainable environment, in line with European standards for sports facilities. The activity is strategic for improving the quality of life and youth activity in the region, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle and sport for all age groups. As a result of the implementation of the project, a new high-class sports infrastructure will be built, which will simultaneously perform the functions of: a multipurpose sports hall with a capacity of approximately 2,500 seats, of which 300 are mobile; a swimming pool with competition dimensions 25 × 16 meters, six swimming lanes each 2.5m and a depth of approximately 2.0 m, with the necessary ancillary premises; a training block for various sports; an administrative and service zone with premises for judicial bodies, coaches, medical teams, journalists and technical personnel. The project will ensure a significant improvement in access to sport and rehabilitation activities for the population, create opportunities for the organisation of educational, sports training and competitive programs, and increase the economic and social attractiveness of the region. The construction of the new sports complex will be carried out in accordance with the national priorities for the development of sport and a healthy lifestyle, set out in the strategic documents of the Republic of Bulgaria and the European Union, and will meet all applicable technical, regulatory and functional requirements, including those of the international sports federations (FIBA, FIVB, IHF, AIBA, FIG and others).
