The Bäderbetriebe Wunstorf GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of the City of Wunstorf, operates the Wunstorf Elements, consisting of an indoor pool, sauna landscape, and additional leisure areas. The company intends to continue and complete the renovation and modernisation process started several years ago. For the overall project, extensive renovation, conversion, and new construction measures are required on the existing building structure and the swimming pool technology. The implementation will be carried out in two construction phases:

Construction Phase 1: New construction of a completely new sports swimming hall with a 50-m pool.

Construction Phase 2: Conversion of the existing 50-m swimming hall into a leisure area with an experience pool and children's area; comprehensive roof renovation; demolition of the existing extension with a teaching pool and new construction of a replacement building with a teaching pool.

Additionally planned are, among others:

- Construction of a slide tower with up to three slides

- Creation of an outdoor pool area with two outdoor pools

A concept study is available. The preliminary cost estimate (KG 200-700) amounts to approximately 39.5 million EUR net. Work is to begin immediately after the order is placed. The start of construction is planned for May 2029 and completion by December 2031.
