Section 130a Paragraph 8 SGB V enables health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount contracts for medicines to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory health insurance funds. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, a regular process of substance-related, formal tendering procedures according to the regulations of Part 4 of the GWB is carried out by DAK-Gesundheit. For medicines to be specified by the bidder in more detail in Annex 2 to the contract for the above-mentioned active substance Teduglutid, ATC A16AX08, DAK-Gesundheit intends to conclude medicine discount contracts with as many interested pharmaceutical companies as possible until new medicine discount contracts come into force. A discount contract under the licensing model for the above-mentioned active substance will come into force for the first time on 01.06.2026 and will end on 31.05.2028 (plus extension option 1x12 months). It will end automatically with the coming into force of the exclusive contract, regardless.
