Germany – Architectural, engineering and planning services – Objektplanungsleistungen für die Sanierung der Mehrzweckhalle Rottenburg-Obernau

The City of Rottenburg intends to renovate the existing community hall at Rommelstalstraße 46, 72108 Rottenburg-Obernau, to secure it as a central venue for culture, clubs, and public use in the long term. The existing hall has both structural, functional, and technical defects and no longer meets the current requirements for a modern, economical event building. As part of a variant analysis, it was examined to what extent a renovation represents the best possible development strategy. The subject of the procedure is the award of the object planning services for the subsequent development of a responsible, economical, and sustainable conceptual design idea, which will further develop the hall architecturally, functionally, and energetically for the future. Planned measures:

- Energetic renovation of the building envelope with facade renovation and replacement of window elements and shading

- Reorganization of areas and integration of new sanitary areas as well as (if necessary) expansion

- Renewal of the entire building services.

The type of heat generation is currently open; the final decision on heat generation will be made (despite the current presentation of a pellet storage facility in the planning documents) based on a variant test in the preliminary planning. For this purpose, the further planning services in this and further parallel negotiations with a pre-tendered selection process are to be tendered throughout Europe.
