TKUB is the Client's technical procurement support with tasks in all three phases of the project (planning and procurement, implementation and handover). The purpose of TKUB is to procure consultancy support that can strengthen an active client in both planning, procurement and implementation/follow-up/risk management of the contractors. The consultancy support will also increase the project management's ability and capacity to manage and collaborate with the contractors during project implementation. Examples of tasks handled by TKUB during planning and procurement are:

• Preparation of inquiry documents for other contract procurements.

• Preparation of technical investigations and documentation for procurement.

• Pre-project planning of main parts procured as design and build.

• Project planning of main parts procured as construction services.

TKUB's tasks in the implementation phase and handover phase are adapted according to the chosen contracting form. Examples of tasks that may be handled by TKUB are:

• At the client's initiative, act as expert procurement support in meetings and collaboration with contractors. This can cover a wide range of areas of expertise depending on the scope of the contract and also coordination issues.

• Ensure that specified technical requirements in the contract are addressed.

• Acceptance testing of the contractor's documents to ensure they are quality assured or that deliveries follow the standards and specifications referred to in the contract and that the correct certificates etc. are issued.

• At the client's initiative, participate in any acceptance tests.

• Procurement support regarding control programs and sampling.

• Coordination and follow-up related to procurement requirements such as environmental and sustainability, waste management, dredging and landfills, contacts with administrators within the City of Gothenburg.

• Preparation of documents, reports and decision-making documents for the Client.
