Description
The Fritz-Haber-Institut (FHI) was founded in 1911 as the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institut für Physikalische Chemie und Elektrochemie in Berlin-Dahlem and was incorporated into the MPG in 1953. The focus of the research activities is on the fundamental understanding of elementary processes in physical chemistry and thus the relationship between structure, reactivity and dynamics at surfaces, interfaces, nanostructures, molecules and clusters. There is currently a significant shortage of highly equipped, wet-chemical laboratory areas with a design suitable for robotized operation. To meet the demand, building T is to be converted and expanded into a laboratory building. The office cubes arranged on the north side of the hexagonal building and the central hall are to be partially demolished and the technical equipment completely dismantled. The resulting spaces, between the two partially demolished cubes, are to be used to "insert" the extension into the existing building. In this new building, all highly equipped rooms, such as laboratories and hazardous materials storage, as well as most of the central technology and technical infrastructure, are to be accommodated on three floors, one of which is a basement. The "core" of the new area is to be the AI-controlled automated laboratory, which is to be created on the ground floor. On the floor above, wet chemistry laboratories with evaluation workstations are to be created, which can be divided into several laboratory rooms. The future building T is to have a net usable floor area (NUF) of approximately 1,400 m² (approximately 3,370 m² gross floor area (BGF)), with the planned usable areas distributed as follows: 80m² chemical storage, approximately 440 m² each robot-operated AI-assisted large chemistry laboratory, approximately 440 m² wet chemistry laboratories, approximately 340 m² office space, approximately 100 m² storage space. For the NUF 7, a space requirement of approximately 100 m² has been determined, and for the technical areas approximately 500 m². The estimated costs for the aforementioned plant groups are approximately 1,200,000 € net for the construction costs, according to an initial cost estimate. The estimated total construction costs (KG 200 to 700) for the conversion and expansion amount to approximately 22,800,000 € net. Cost estimates to be prepared during the planning phase are to be determined separately for the costs of the extension and the conversion/renovation of the existing building and combined in a total overview. Further details can be found in the measures and performance description in Annex 07 and the drawings in Annex 08. Further project details will be provided in the second stage of the procedure. The project book will be sent to the selected bidders with the invitation to submit an offer. The subject of this VgV tendering procedure are the required services of "Technical Equipment Planning (Medical or Laboratory Equipment)" according to § 55 in conjunction with Annex 15 of the HOAI 2021 for the ALG 7 in the LPH 2 and 3 and 5 to 8, plus special services.
