Austria – Construction work for commercial buildings, warehouses and industrial buildings, buildings relating to transport – WIGEV - Grüne Wäscherei

The aim of the present procurement procedure is the long-term rental of a (possibly newly constructed) laundry building to meet the needs of the Vienna Health Association (hereinafter referred to as "WIGEV", "Contracting Authority" or "AG"). To this end, a lease agreement for a (possibly newly constructed) laundry building is to be concluded between the Contracting Authority and the successful bidder in the procurement procedure. The Vienna Health Association operates the Laundry and Cleaning Service Unit (hereinafter "SWR") to supply its clinics and nursing facilities. The existing SWR (formerly "Central Laundry of the City of Vienna") was built in the 1960s and is a crucial part of the WIGEV's supply infrastructure. Due to the age of the facilities, the structural conditions, and the medium- to long-term expiration of the energy supply, action is required to ensure the future provision of laundry services. Against this background, the Vienna Health Association aims to rapidly implement and permanently operate a new, green (i.e. inter alia "gas-free") and modern hospital laundry. For this purpose, the rental of a laundry building is sought. The aim of the procurement procedure is therefore initially to identify a solution suitable for the purposes of the WIGEV (with regard to the property, the building and the commercial and legal framework conditions) and subsequently to conclude a lease agreement for the (to be constructed or future) laundry building.
