Spain – Social work and related services – Contratación del servicio de teleasistencia domiciliaria del Ayuntamiento de A Coruña (Contrato reservado de conformidad con la Disposición Adicional 48 de la LCSP)

The object of the present contract is the provision of a home telecare service, understood as a social service that, with the support of technology, facilitates continuous personal and social attention and support to people in situations of fragility derived from limitations in personal autonomy or difficulties in carrying out the activities of daily living associated with age, disability or illness, including the supply, installation, maintenance and replacement of the telecare devices necessary for the correct provision of the service in the homes of the users. This service is particularly indicated for those people who, being in a situation of risk or vulnerability, live alone or spend a large part of the time alone. The service allows the user, through the telephone line and by activating a communication device, to establish, in the event of any eventuality or emergency situation, verbal communication in hands-free mode with a specialized care centre, operational on a permanent basis. From this centre, the user will be attended by professionals qualified to respond to the situation presented.
