Belgium – Refuse disposal and treatment – Inzamelen van bedrijfsafvalstromen

The collection of our, previously technical, waste/material streams. This concerns the waste streams that primarily arise from the maintenance centres for trams and buses, our washing bays, tank tracks, carpentry workshops, upholstery workshops, painting departments, maintenance work on stops, metro lines and buildings. Not included in this contract is the scrapping of decommissioned buses or trams and waste collection at stops on public roads or station environments. The collection points of VVM De Lijn are spread across the entire Flemish Region and partially also in the Brussels Region. At each location, there are usually multiple collection points. We also have semi-underground collection points at our larger sites. The collector chooses the transport method, the transshipment location and the processor. The transport of our waste/material streams. Waste transports between our own sites to bulk waste/material streams for more efficient disposal for processing. All administration concerns digital transport documents, also for foreign disposal. The provision, management and maintenance of the collection means on the sites (rental). The provision and sale of collection means for one-off use: bags, IBC, lockable drums, medibins. Planning system that can efficiently process the data from our system for waste collection requests. The reporting of all waste streams according to the obligations of Vlarema regarding the waste register and the data needed for CSRD for all sites (this requirement will become more important during the term of this contract). Possibility of management reports: periodic reporting on the disposal and processing of waste (e.g. volumes, disposal, costs and benefits, comparison between our sites). Smooth access and export possibilities of the digital transport documents. The initiation of improvement proposals regarding waste prevention and logistics. Proactive advice regarding the introduction of new legislation and regulations concerning waste and materials. The support and training (or digital provision) of the sorting rules and implementation of new legislation.
