Germany – Helpdesk and support services – Errichtung und Betrieb einer Geschäftsstelle „Wirtschaftliche Eigenständigkeit“ (2027-2029)

Gender equality is a constitutional mandate under Article 3 (2) of the Basic Law and the increase in women's participation in the labour market is also an objective of the KoaV (lines 407-409). To meet these obligations and objectives, strengthening the economic independence of women and men, or promoting economic equality, is a declared goal of the Federal Government. This goal has been documented in both the 2026 Annual Economic Report and the 7th Federal Government Report on Poverty and Wealth. The provision of economic orientation knowledge throughout life (e.g. financial implications of part-time work, care work and tax class choice) is a central lever for this. The work of the "Economic Independence" office is also intended to build on this. To provide specialist, evidence-based and communicative support to the responsible specialist department, the establishment and operation of an external "Economic Independence" office is being tendered Europe-wide for the period from 01.02.2027 to 31.12.2029.
