Germany – Woodwork – Kreativareal Stadtlagerhaus - 3305 Modulbauweise

The contracting authority, Stadtwerk Regensburg GmbH, plans to convert the former grain storage halls in Auweg, Regensburg, into a so-called creative area. The use of the creative area is planned to be diverse and specifically tailored to the needs of Regensburg's creative industry. In detail, spaces for craft businesses, co-working, office space, and an event area with gastronomy will be implemented. This lot includes the construction of 7 modular buildings in halls 4 and 5. The implementation of this project is carried out within the funding framework "Model Projects Smart Cities: Urban Development and Digitalisation" of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB) (https://www.smart-city-dialog.de/). Consequently, the implementation of the project is also bound to the requirements of the funding framework. With the Smart Cities Model Projects (https://www.smart-city-dialog.de/) the federal government supports municipalities in strategically designing digitalisation in the sense of an integrated, sustainable and community-oriented urban development. The Smart Cities Model Projects develop and test cross-sectoral digital strategies for the urban life of the future. The model projects of the third round are under the motto "Together out of the crisis: Space for the future". The funded projects, including Regensburg, are to demonstrate how the qualities of the European city can be transferred into the digital age. The basis for the contractually compliant processing and thus the fundable implementation of the model project REGENSBURG_NEXT are the guidelines of the funding body as well as the implementation according to the guidelines and recommendations for action of the Smart City Charter (https://www.bbsr.bund.de/BBSR/DE/veroeffentlichungen/sonderveroeffentlichungen/2017/smart-city-charta-de-eng-dl.pdf?__blob=publicationFile&v=2).
