Description

Gasunie Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG (GUD) operates a approximately 4,700 kilometre long pipeline network for natural gas and is currently planning the electrification of its Rysum compressor station (VDS Rysum). The site is located approximately 10 km as the crow flies west of the city of Emden in East Frisia and approximately 3 km from the mouth of the Ems River. Access is from the direction of Emden via the state road L2 towards the village of Rysum. VDS Rysum has been in operation since 1979. Currently, four compressor units with gas turbine drives are installed in VDS Rysum: Compressor E1 with Solar Taurus 70 gas turbine drive, installed 2015, overhauled 2020 Compressor E2 with Solar Mars 90 gas turbine drive, installed 1979, operating permit expired in December 2023 due to non-compliance with emission limit values Compressor E3 with Solar Mars 100S gas turbine drive, installed 1996, overhauled 2022 Compressor E4 with MAN THM-1304-11 gas turbine drive, installed 2005 The compressor units E1, E3 and E4 meet the current requirements of the 13th BImSchV (Federal Emission Control Act). The compressor unit E2 does not meet the current requirements of the 13th BImSchV (Federal Emission Control Act) and had to be shut down at the end of 2023. The compressor units still in operation must be taken out of service at regular intervals for maintenance and revision work. To ensure the required availability of three compressor units in VDS Rysum, two new electrically driven compressor units are to be installed and will replace the compressor units E2 and E4. The new compressor units will be designated E 500 and E 600. After the commissioning of the compressor units E 500 and E 600, the compressor units E1, E3 and E4 will be available as "back up". The construction site for the erection of the compressor units E 500 and E 600 and the construction site equipment and parking areas used during the construction work are located in the immediate vicinity outside the existing station site and are also accessible via the Schomerswolder Weg, which leads north-east of the plant into the state road. The station to be erected essentially consists of the two aforementioned compressor units, installed in two compressor halls, an electrical building, a unit blower, a FU cooler, two machine transformers, two EB transformers, a harmonic filter, a power replacement system with electrical room and fuel storage tank and a circuit breaker building. Furthermore, the station is connected to the existing VDS Rysum via underground pipelines and integrated into its main control technology. The construction project is divided into four general contractor lots (GU lots): - GU Lot 1: Civil engineering and building construction incl. plant engineering and construction - GU Lot 2: Pipe construction - GU Lot 3: Electrical engineering - GU Lot 4: MSR technology / IT Interested bidders can apply as a single company or in a bidding consortium for only 1 (one) lot each. An exception applies to lots 3 (three) and 4 (four). The respective offers for the lots must in any case be submitted separately and in each case completely. The contracting authority (CA) reserves the right to award lots 3 and 4 to the same or different contractors (CT).
