The Burgenlandkreis as the contracting authority intends to construct a new school campus on the site of the "Stadtquartier Schönburger Straße", consisting of a school building and a 3-court sports hall. The Centre for the Berufsvorbereitendes Jahr (BVJ) also planned on the site is not the subject of this tender. The construction site for the planned campus is located east of the Naumburg centre within the scope of a legally binding land-use plan (B-Plan No. 62 "Stadtquartier Schönburger Straße"). The former development and surface coverings have already been dismantled. The school site itself is located on the south-running Schönburger Straße and on the east-running Dr. Wilhelm-Kniest-Straße, which was newly planned and constructed as part of the B-Plan procedure, between the Schönburger Straße and the Grochlitzer Straße. The campus also includes the plot with the plot number 692. The street quarter between Schönburger-, Rosa-Luxemburg and Grochlitzer Straße is characterised by a largely homogeneous development with mostly three-storey residential buildings. The site is largely level and covers an area of 25,196m2. The buildings of the new school campus will be distributed across three building areas. The building parts of the construction project are designated as follows in the invitation to tender:

Sub-object A: School Building

The building, which houses the classrooms of the special school, the secondary school and parts of the BVJ, forms the centre of the facility as the largest building mass and is itself divided into three "building cubes", staggered in height between two and four storeys. The three building sections are each arranged around an inner courtyard core. The buildings will be constructed in solid construction with load-bearing walls and columns made of reinforced concrete as well as reinforced concrete ceilings with a flat roof. The foundation is made on reinforced concrete base plates. The middle building section (A1) is basement, the northern and southern building sections (A2 and A3) are not basement. Sub-object B: Sports Hall

The 3-court sports hall is arranged to the north adjacent to the school building. A two-storey functional tract adjoins the large hall space with DIN dimensions (45 x 27 m) on the southern longitudinal side. The building foundation for the social tract is carried out as a slab foundation with reinforced concrete base plates, the hall is founded with individual foundations and foundation strips under the outer walls. The load-bearing walls, columns and floor ceilings in the functional tract are constructed in reinforced concrete. The hall roof is formed with glued laminated timber beams and a load-bearing shell made of steel trapezoidal sheet. Workshop building of the BVJ (Sub-object C) not the subject of this tender.
