Germany – Pharmaceutical products – Abschluss nicht-exklusiver Rabattvereinbarungen nach § 130 a Abs. 8 SGB V ab dem 01.07.2026

Section 130a, paragraph 8 of the German Social Code (SGB V) allows health insurance funds (KK) and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount agreements for the prescription drugs to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory KK. The GWQ acts as the Society for Economy and Quality in KK according to section 130a, paragraph 8, sentence 5 SGB V for its shareholder and customer funds. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, a regular process of substance-related, formal tendering procedures according to the regulations of Part 4 of the GWB is carried out by the GWQ ServicePlus AG. Until the entry into force of new drug discount agreements, the GWQ wishes to conclude drug discount agreements with all interested pharmaceutical companies. The contract start date is 01.07.2026.
