Stadtverwaltung EisenachGermanyPublished on Aug 26, 2026
Deadline passed

Description

The city of Eisenach intends to construct a new sports and event hall within the building volume of a vacant factory building on the site of the former Automobilwerk Eisenach (AWE). The multifunctional three-court sports hall is to be used for school, club and competitive sports as well as for events and will have a total of approximately 4,000 spectator or visitor seats. The advertised services follow on from the separately awarded measures for the static securing of the western existing row as well as from the demolition of the remaining existing structure from axis B. The subject of the tender is the creation of the shell for the new building in axes B′ – K′ including the associated earth, foundation, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, masonry and sealing works. The scope of services also includes the main drains of the building drainage, the pre-emptive media installation in the immediate building environment as well as the earthing and electrical installation works associated with the shell. The new building has a floor area of around 5,500 m². At the centre is the sports and event hall with four-sided surrounding stands. To the north and south are storage, sanitary and technical areas. The eastern building closure is formed by a three-storey functional row with changing and washing rooms (ground floor), a multi-purpose hall (1st floor) and loge areas (2nd floor). Two stairwells and a lift shaft complement this building section. The newly created stairwells in the western existing row are not part of this tender. The supporting structure of the new building will be constructed as an independent, free-standing and braced reinforced concrete frame structure. It essentially consists of reinforced concrete columns, load-bearing and bracing reinforced concrete walls, floor and podium slabs as well as partially large-format sub- and superstructures. The hall outer walls will be designed as a reinforced concrete column structure with wall infillings in between up to a height of approximately 17.50 m. Large areas of the reinforced concrete surfaces will be executed in exposed concrete quality. The floor and stand stairs as well as the seating and standing stands will be predominantly made of reinforced concrete precast parts. In addition, non-load-bearing lime sandstone walls as well as extensive steel, reinforcement and connecting components including tie and girder supports, rebend and screw connections as well as structural connections to the remaining existing row are to be produced. The foundation will be made via individual and strip foundations, foundation and base slabs as well as locally deeper reinforced concrete structures. The foundation bases are approximately 1.50 to 2.00 m below ground level in the regular areas; in the transition area to the existing row along axis B′ some areas are up to approximately 3.50 m below ground. The main hall area is not cellared. Extensive gravel cushions, soil improvements and unreinforced concrete backfills will be produced between the building ground and foundation components. The contractor will take over the prepared excavation pit and carry out the remaining rough, fine and foundation excavation work. The base slabs and foundation components will be partially executed as WU reinforced concrete structures. The earth-contacting components are to be protected against water according to the advertised sealing systems. In addition to the WU construction ("white tank") reinforced concrete components, for example, bituminous external wall seals, perimeter insulations, fresh concrete composite systems (FBVS) in the area of base slabs and foundations as well as suitable joint sealing systems are provided. In the area of the playing field, the approximately 2,600 m² large and approx. 50 cm thick base slab will be produced for construction process reasons only after the assembly and sealing of the hall roof support structure. A further special feature of the construction process is the hall passage required during the construction period. This initially remains open for the assembly of the roof support structure and is only closed in the further construction process. The subsequent gap closure includes, among other things, the gravel structure, the foundations and base slab, the rising reinforced concrete components, the ceiling as well as the associated stand areas. The section-wise and temporally staggered production of the shell construction resulting from this is part of the advertised services. Furthermore, the scope of services includes the sewer, grease and rainwater pipes below the base slab and in the immediate building environment including shafts, connections, earthworks, tests and documentation. The rainwater from the roof surfaces will be discharged via a separate pipe network to the Vorflut Hörsel. Furthermore, in the adjacent outdoor area, pre-emptive media and drainage pipes including the necessary earth and shaft construction work are to be produced. Part of the shell services are also the ring and foundation earthing system as well as the concrete installation pipes, installation boxes and junction boxes required for the later electrical installation as well as gas- and pressure-water-tight cable and line entry systems.
