Germany – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – Mosbach - Generalsanierung Ludwig-Erhard-Schule HLS

Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis in Mosbach is planning the comprehensive renovation of the Ludwig-Erhard-Schule, Kaufmännische Schulen Mosbach, in a central location in the city centre, Katzenhorn. The comprehensive renovation includes buildings A and B with approximately 8,015 m² of gross floor area from the 1970s. The gymnasium is not part of the renovation. The buildings of the Ludwig-Erhard-Schule are in close proximity to the buildings of the Pestalozzi-Realschule, the Nikolaus-Kistner-Gymnasium, the outdoor pool and the Jahnhalle. The site is bounded by a large car park on Hammerweg, Jean de la Fontaine Straße, the Elz river, which divides the city, and the outdoor pool area. The energy supply to the school site is currently provided by a transformer station located in the building, a PV system and a connection to the local district heating network. As part of a feasibility study in 2024, the feasibility of energy-efficient renovation and modernisation of buildings A and B was investigated. This should also take into account the improvement of accessibility. Technical systems have been maintained and partially renewed during the period of use, but are now to be newly conceived and completely renewed as part of the comprehensive renovation. In particular, heat generation, heat transfer and central or decentralised ventilation systems should be considered in variants. For the duration of the comprehensive renovation during ongoing school operations, partial relocation of classes to a container system is planned.
