France – Locomotives – LOCMA Paris Austerlitz

The Paris Austerlitz Technical Centre currently uses a Y5000 shunter to manoeuvre railway equipment, in order to carry out the various maintenance operations for which it is responsible. This shunter is very old, energy-intensive and unreliable, which results in very high operating and maintenance costs. Therefore, the Technical Centre is considering acquiring a new autonomous train-moving unit (including locomotive), named "LOCMA" in the present CDC, in order to limit its environmental impact, reduce its energy costs, secure its production and improve the quality of life at work for its agents.
