The Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG are fundamentally modernising the Busbetriebshof Nord in the 2nd construction phase to enable the complete electrification of the fleet by 2030. The core of the project is the adaptation of the parking concept: In the future, buses will be parked in parking blocks with steel crossbeams for charging canopies. The charging infrastructure will be bundled in an elevated technical corridor. The traffic areas and surface water drainage will be completely renewed. The washing hall will be fundamentally renovated for use by electric buses and equipped with a work pit. In addition, the workshop will be expanded by seven workstations and the driver's building will be energetically renovated and expanded by a two-storey extension. The existing spare parts warehouse will be modernised and equipped with new fittings. All measures will be implemented while maintaining bus and workshop operations. The services tendered include operational support services related to the conversion of the Busbetriebshof Nord, 2nd construction phase (BBHN 2), and are to be provided for the entire construction period. A focus of the services is the regular cleaning of the container systems set up on the site (office/meeting containers, construction site access, and rest containers). The cleaning includes both the interior and exterior areas of the respective units at the required cleaning intervals. In addition, porter services and access management measures at the Betriebshof Nord are to be provided. The contractor ensures continuous monitoring and control of access to the construction site and coordinates access control for construction site personnel, suppliers, and other third parties in coordination with the Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG. Additionally, winter maintenance services on the ALDI parking lot and street cleaning services on the traffic areas of the depot are to be provided. The winter service includes all necessary measures to ensure passability and drivability in case of snow and ice. The street cleaning includes the regular cleaning of the traffic areas from dirt that arises in connection with the construction and operation. All services are to be provided while maintaining the ongoing bus and workshop operations and are to be carried out in close coordination with the KVB project management and the local construction supervision.
