Project Description and Status: The City of Kassel plans to restructure and expand the Wilhelmsgymnasium (WGK) as one of the upcoming school projects of the City of Kassel. The six-track gymnasium is located in the Bad Wilhelmshöhe district of Kassel, near the train station. Due to changed needs, the gymnasium is to be supplemented by a new teaching building for 30 classes in the north of the school grounds. The new construction will replace the eastern extension to the main building; this is scheduled to be demolished in a second construction phase. This opens up the possibility of an integrated overall planning for the educational area (size approx. 10,250m²), which also includes the adjacent sports hall/canteen and provides the school with significantly increased visibility and thus better integration into the public space, such as the bus station through the adjacent Walther-Schücking Platz, as well as the inclusion of plot 29/10 for opening up and dispersing the flow of movement to the tram stop. The project has already completed the performance phase zero, the needs assessment, and parts of the HOAI-LPH 1. The design concept is in place, and essential planning tasks will be completed by a general planning team (GPL) following a completed EU-wide VGV selection process, with a final jury decision. The formal appointment is imminent. The interim solution during the construction period will be provided by an interim building. The interfaces with the main construction project are described in the service descriptions. The main construction project and the interim building are part of this contract. The interim planning and the main project are awarded separately due to time aspects. A general planner has been commissioned for the main project of the full-day extension. The decision on the implementation in individual lots, a bundling of lots, or by a general contractor or general contractor has not yet been made. For the interim building of rental containers, a general planner has been commissioned. A general contractor or general contractor is to be commissioned with the erection and subsequent rental of the interim building to the AG. The handling of the resulting interfaces must be taken into account within the framework of the planning. From the school development planning, an expansion to a 2.5-track system for 250 students (10 classes + differentiation and full-day rooms) results for the expansion of the full-day programme for the existing primary level. A canteen and a regeneration kitchen in the "Cook and Chill" preparation method for 250 meal portions in a 3-shift system is to be planned.
