Purpose: The purpose of the procurement is to fulfill the municipal operations' obligation regarding the collection, transport, reporting and delivery of waste. Furthermore, the procurement shall ensure that the services are performed in a cost-effective manner, with the lowest possible environmental impact and with good customer service. The contract includes: - Collection of packaging - Collection of corrugated cardboard - Collection of plastic bags and packaging - Collection of newspapers/returned paper and confidential waste - Collection of deposits and return packaging - Collection of metal waste - Collection of textile waste and textile donations that do not constitute municipal waste - Collection of electrical waste - Collection of bulky waste (worn-out furniture, bicycles, toys, mats and similar) - Collection of construction and demolition waste - Collection of wood waste (remnants from woodwork or wooden pallets) - Collection of garden waste - Collection of hazardous waste (light sources and fluorescent tubes, batteries, piercing or cutting material, chemicals, medicines, paint, printed containers, pressure-impregnated wood etc.) - Reporting of hazardous waste to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency - Rental and purchase of containers and bins (optional) - Washing of containers and bins - Cleaning and inspection of waste rooms/environmental rooms - Treatment of bulky waste, wood, metal, garden waste The contract covers the mainland and islands with bridge connections in the entire municipality. The contract is not subject to tendering in-house. The contractor is responsible for customer service, registry maintenance and invoicing of waste fees to each reporting party. The contract covers all current and future municipal operations within the municipality as well as municipal companies, these constitute individual Contracting Authorities. Värmdö Municipality's municipal operations may choose to use other framework agreements within the municipality for individual waste fractions.
