The Deutsche Bahn plans, as part of the approved project VDE 8.1 upgrade line Nuremberg – Ebensfeld, to construct a new freight line in the area of the existing line, which crosses the Rothenburger Straße. As part of this construction measure by Deutsche Bahn, a rerouting of supply lines by N-ERGIE is necessary through a new crossing of the rail line to be created. The crossing is to be created without excavation by pipe jacking under the Deutsche Bahn rail line to avoid interference with rail operations. A casing pipe is to be laid, in which several utility lines will then be routed. The laying of the power and water lines in the casing pipe, including the connection of the start and target excavation pit (emergence sections) to the existing infrastructure, is included in the scope of the tender.
