Switzerland – Construction work for highways, roads – KEZO Los VA 02b Strassenbau und Werkleitungen

The contracting authority, the KEZO Waste Disposal Association (KEZO), was founded in 1961 and comprises 36 municipalities in the Zürcher Oberland and around Lake Zurich. It operates a waste-to-energy plant (KVA) in Hinwil for the thermal treatment of municipal waste from around 365,000 households, as well as from industry and commerce. Due to the planned construction of a new weighing plant, both the road and traffic management and the utility lines on the KEZO site must be adapted accordingly. The construction services tendered here include, among others: • Removal of pavements, walls and edge closures • Excavation for utility lines, creation and adaptation of utility line systems • Creation and adaptation of drainage systems for the new traffic areas • Earthworks and excavation for the installation of the scales • Paving work for new and adapted traffic areas The work will be carried out on the KEZO site. The waste-to-energy plant (KVA) located on the site and the ZAV Recycling (ZAVRe) plant will remain in operation throughout the construction period. The operation of the plant must not be hindered/impaired by the construction work. The truck routes for waste delivery and residual material collection must be guaranteed throughout the construction period. The work will therefore be carried out in stages and during ongoing operation/ traffic. Furthermore, the services tendered here must be coordinated with the work of subcontractors.
