Netherlands – Refuse recycling services – Verwerking van Groente, Fruit en Tuinafval (GFT)

This invitation to tender concerns the procurement of the processing of household Green, Fruit and Garden Waste (GFT) from approximately 40 municipalities. Coöperatieve Vereniging Midwaste Milieu U.A. (Midwaste) is the contracting authority and will be the Contracting Authority in the contract to be formed on behalf of eight of its members and the approximately 40 municipalities they represent. In total, this involves approximately 175,000 tonnes of household GFT per year. The total waste volume is divided into 10 lots for which Midwaste is seeking multiple processors. The lots have an initial duration of approximately 2-8 years with two extension options. The lots have different end dates. The procurement uses a scoring method of price and sustainability in the form of CO2 equivalents, to which a fictitious value is assigned. Transfer of the GFT and transport to the processing location are not part of the contract.
