Finland – Construction work – Kesälahden koulun ja päiväkodin KVR-urakka, Kiteen kaupunki

The North Karelia Procurement Unit invites tenders for the design and construction of the new school and daycare centre in Kesälahti in accordance with the contract documents. The construction site is located at Pyhäjärventie 6, 59800 Kesälahti. The contractor must familiarise themselves with the site before submitting a tender. If the contractor has not familiarised themselves with the site before submitting a tender, the tender will be rejected. An information event will be held at the site on Wednesday 08.07.2026 from 9:00 to 10:00. Registration for the information event must be made in advance by email to the site presenter. The presenters are Jukka Ruuskanen, [email protected] and Mikko Kukkonen, [email protected]. If necessary, the purchaser may arrange additional information events, which will be announced in the tender service with an additional information message, but initially only one (1) such event will be held. If a tenderer has participated in the presentation of the site during the previous procurement process (604203 / Kesälahden school and daycare centre KVR contract, City of Kitee), it is not mandatory for such a tenderer to participate in the presentation again. Design work can commence once the contract has been signed. The builder aims to make a decision on the contractor by the end of August 2026 at the latest. Work can commence by 1 December 2026 at the latest and must be completed by 25 February 2028 at the latest. The construction period is considered to include a reasonable amount of additional and modification work. The implementation of the school and daycare centre with prefabricated space elements is not permitted, and if such tenders are received, they will be rejected as contrary to the tender invitation conditions. However, prefabricated building components, such as wooden wall elements, log structures and CLT elements, are permitted. The tender is binding and must be drawn up in Finnish. The procurement process is entirely in Finnish. The contract must comply with the directly applicable regulations of the European Union, Finnish laws and decrees, and instructions issued by authorities, including those relating to the structure, fittings, occupational and fire safety, and electrical safety.
