Description

The contract for the snow clearance and gritting services for the schools in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district must be re-tendered. The service will be divided into two lots:

Lot 1: Winter maintenance for schools in the Steglitz area (43 sites)

Lot 2: Winter maintenance for schools in the Zehlendorf area (25 sites)

Bids can be submitted for both lots. However, assuming compliance with the procurement law, each bidder can only be awarded one lot. If a bidder is ranked first for both lots after evaluation, they will be awarded the lot with the higher bid price (net total sum).

The winter maintenance services include:

• Snow and ice clearance on pavements, roads, car parks, school grounds, etc.

• Provision of gritting materials

• Application of grit

• Removal and proper disposal of gritting materials

• Patrols to assess the need for intervention

• Tour and deployment planning, as well as records of deployment

The contracting company will provide the personnel, equipment (e.g. clearing equipment, vehicles, etc.) and gritting materials required for the service.

The contracting authority must be provided with a detailed tour plan (clearing plan) for the contractually agreed services by 1 October of the current year at the latest. This plan must clearly state which specific properties will be visited and in what order (route). In addition, the timeline of the tour must be bindingly specified.

No site visit confirmations are required or to be submitted for the tender. The areas relevant to the winter maintenance service are listed by location in the specifications and also generally outlined in the accompanying plans.
