Greece – Wastewater treatment plant construction work – ΚΕΝΤΡΟ ΕΠΕΞΕΡΓΑΣΙΑΣ ΛΥΜΑΤΩΝ (ΚΕΛ) ΔΗΜΩΝ ΡΑΦΗΝΑΣ – ΠΙΚΕΡΜΙΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΣΠΑΤΩΝ - ΑΡΤΕΜΙΔΑΣ

The subject of the Contract is divided into the following parts and sections, without this division affecting the unitary character of the Work: A. First Part (Part 1) of the Work, which includes the three sections 1A, 1B and 1C. First Section (Section 1A) of the Work. Includes the preparation of the Final Study - Implementation Study and the complete construction of the KEL and the submarine pipeline, according to the Technical Specification of Obligations, the Technical Specifications, the Technical Offer of the Contractor, and the other Contractual Documents. The First Section of the Work is considered to have been successfully completed after the complete construction of all the envisaged works and the successful execution of all the tests and controls defined in the Contractual Documents (completion tests), with the exception of those that require the discharge of untreated sewage into the KEL. Second Section (Section 1B) of the Work. Includes the commissioning and trial operation of the KEL and the disposal pipeline, including completion tests and the training of the EYDAP staff in the operation and maintenance of the works. The Second Section of the Work is considered to have been successfully completed after the successful execution of the completion tests and the training of the EYDAP staff. Third Section (Section 1C) of the Work. Includes the updating and completion of the approved Final Study, the preparation of the Implementation Study and the complete construction of the KPEE and its surrounding area, according to the Technical Specifications and the other Contractual Documents. The Administrative Building – Operational Unit of the Centre for Environmental Awareness and Information (KPEE) will be constructed in the NW part of the KEL site on a plot of approximately 23,000 m2. It will have a multi-purpose character and will host uses that have a cultural and social character. The Third Section of the Work is considered to have been successfully completed after the complete construction of all the envisaged works and the successful execution of all the tests and controls defined in the Contractual Documents (completion tests and completion tests) B. Second Part (Part 2) of the Work. Includes the normal operation and maintenance of the KEL and the submarine pipeline by the Contractor on behalf of EYDAP, as well as the maintenance of the Centre for Environmental Awareness and Information and its surrounding area, for a period of seven (7) years or eighty-four (84) months, with the right to opt for one (1) additional year. During the Normal Operation and Maintenance, the Contractor will have the full and exclusive responsibility for achieving the required processing performance in terms of the final effluents and the processed sludge, which must be in accordance with what is defined in this document as well as with the guarantees that have been submitted together with the Technical Offer. The Second Part of the Work is considered to have been successfully completed after the expiry of the contractual period from the relevant order of EYDAP, the completion of all checks and the fulfilment of all obligations by the Contractor and the signing of a relevant protocol, as defined in the Contractual Documents. All the above works will be studied and executed in accordance with what is defined in the Contractual Terms of the Contract. Specifically, the subject of the contract includes the preparation of any type of study and supporting work – research necessary for the proper construction of the works (KEL, submarine pipeline, KPEE). Indicatively and not restrictively, the following are mentioned below: - The Final Study – Implementation Study of the works of Phase A1 of the KEL Rafinas – Pikermiou and Spaton – Artemidas installations and the submarine section of the disposal pipeline of effluents (the Preliminary Study has already been prepared) - The Implementation Study of the Centre for Environmental Awareness and Information (KPEE) (the final Architectural and Structural Study and the Preliminary Study of the M/E installations have already been prepared) - The seabed and geotechnical survey - study in the area of the submarine pipeline - The HAZOP study for the KEL installations - The SAU and the FAU of the Work - The updating of the existing environmental studies and the preparation of new or complementary ones if required - The issuance of all kinds of permits for construction and operation - The drafting of the Operation and Maintenance Manuals - The drafting by the Contractor of the elements required by the contract relating to the Operation and Maintenance of the works - The drafting of the Work Log
