The Bern City Tangent is one of the most heavily used sections of the national motorway. Between 2008 and 2012, the City Tangent was comprehensively renovated, with the pavements replaced and numerous inventory items repaired and reinforced. In addition, noise protection was enhanced and adapted to the requirements of the time on the affected sections. Around 15 years have passed since then, and the condition of the wearing courses has deteriorated noticeably. In recent years, pavement damage has increased, leading to a rise in short-term necessary maintenance measures (kbU). Within the project perimeter, a UeMa pavement replacement and a maintenance project will be carried out. The project perimeter includes the following four national motorway sections:

· N01.16 (Bethlehem junction – Forsthaus)

· N01.20 (Forsthaus – Wankdorf junction)

· N06.32 (Wankdorf junction – Wankdorf junction)

· N12.84 (Bümpliz junction – Weyermannshaus junction)

The current procurement includes the mandate for the environmental project manager for the interim measure (Phases 32-53) and the maintenance project (maintenance concept (EK) up to Phase 53) - The project will be created using the BIM planning method. Description of the mandate for the environmental project manager (including UBB):

· Interim measure (UeMa) pavement replacement (Phases 32-53)

· Maintenance project: Maintenance concept (EK) until commissioning (Phase 53)

The planning and realisation of the UeMa pavement replacement will run in parallel with the maintenance project (see 06_Schedule Framework). In total, there are 146 inventory items (IO) which are divided into the following areas:

- Route/Environment: 42

- Artistic structures: 52

- Tunnel/Geotechnics: 43

- BSA: 3

- Third-party objects: 6
