Description

New construction of the hydrogen pipeline HYROW

GASCADE Gastransport GmbH plans to build a new high-pressure hydrogen gas pipeline from Rostock to Wrangelsburg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as part of the HYROW project. The project is part of the German and European hydrogen core network and comprises an approximately 115 km long pipeline with a dimension of DN 1000 and a maximum allowable operating pressure of MOP 100. The pipeline starts east of the port of Rostock and connects in Wrangelsburg to the existing or hydrogen-converted pipeline HYOS/formerly OPAL. The project includes the hydrogen pipeline along with necessary operational ancillary facilities and a total of nine shut-off stations. The stations in Rostock, Wrangelsburg and Gremersdorf are planned as pigging stations; further shut-off stations are planned at Poppendorf, Ribnitz, Semlow, Süderholz, Dersekow and Müssow.
