Belgium – Washing and dry-cleaning services – Groepsaankoop raamovereenkomst voor het huren van werkkledij en plat linnen alsook wassen van het textiel van zorgbehoevenden

This group purchase concerns the conclusion of a framework agreement with one contractor for the rental of workwear and flat linen, as well as the washing of the textiles of the care recipients for the duration of 48 months, for the authorities that are members of the intermunicipal purchasing service of IOK. The term rental includes in this case all aspects of follow-up: including selection, labelling, collection and return, complete cleaning and repair and/or replacement of the products in case of damage or wear. These authorities include police zones, emergency response zones, OCMW’s, municipalities, cities and welfare associations. The framework agreement will be primarily used by welfare associations and care institutions of local authorities. No take-up is expected from the other authorities, given their activities, although this remains possible. This is a non-exclusive framework agreement without any take-up obligation. Consequently, notwithstanding the awarding and conclusion of the framework agreement by the contracting authority IOK on the basis of the present tender, the aforementioned authorities are free to order elsewhere during the contract period or to place no order. The contractor cannot claim compensation for this.
