Germany – Contractor's all-risk insurance services – Projektversicherung Reaktivierung Horlofftalbahn

DB InfraGO AG plans to reactivate the Horlofftal railway. The project includes the following individual measures: *Reactivation of the decommissioned traffic stations Hungen-Inheiden and Wölfersheim-Berstadt *Construction of a junction station – Wölfersheim-Berstadt by establishing an overtaking siding *Extension of platform 1 at Hungen station *Renewal of the superstructure, substructure and earthworks *Reconstruction of the equipment technology (LST, radio, power) *Construction of a cable duct from Beienheim to Hungen *Repair of existing bridges and culverts *Renewal or reconstruction of the technical safeguards at existing level crossings and closure of further level crossings

The investment sum for this project is estimated at EUR 79.8 million. Of this, approximately EUR 6.352 million has already been settled through an existing contract. The newly tendered insurance contract will replace the existing contract. A construction period until 30.06.2028 is currently planned. The insurance contract will commence after the completion of the tendering procedure with the date of the award following a currently existing preliminary cover. (Type M)

In the liability insurance, the cover amount per claim is EUR 25,000,000 in total for personal, property and financial losses, including the benefits from the environmental liability insurance. In the planning liability insurance, a separate cover amount per claim of EUR 10,000,000 in total for property and financial losses is available. The aforementioned amounts are tripled. The Extended Maintenance in the construction and assembly insurance part amounts to 42 months. The subsequent liability in the liability insurance is 10 years, in the environmental liability and environmental damage insurance 5 years. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. The deductible is waived for personal injuries. The extended planning cover is included in the planning liability insurance. As part of the extended planning cover, the deductible is EUR 100,000.
