For the implementation of waste management in the district of Lüchow-Dannenberg, the Waste Management Department is responsible, a municipal enterprise of the district. Residual waste (AVV 200301) is collected in the district, on the one hand, by the district's own collection vehicles, and on the other hand, it is also accepted at the recycling centre. The further disposal is awarded to a commissioned third party. Since the contract with this third party expires at the end of the year, the district is now tendering the takeover and disposal of the collected residual waste. The start of the service is 01.01.2027 or the first working day of 2027.
